Growth and harvest
Effect
Generation III
In Ruby and Sapphire, the Kelpsy Berry cannot be used directly and only has a use as an ingredient for Pokéblocks.
A Kelpsy Berry will mature from a planted seed to a full-grown, fruit-bearing tree in 12 hours, with 3 hours per stage. A Kelpsy tree will yield 2-6 Berries.

Generation IV
From Emerald, the Kelpsy Berry can be used from the Bag on a Pokémon to increase the Pokémon's friendship (+10 at friendship 0-99, +5 at friendship 100-199, +1SwSh-/+2E-USUM at friendship 200-254) and lowers its Attack EVs by ten points (but not below 0). In Generation IV only, this Berry reduces the EV to 100 if it was above 110 when used.
A Kelpsy Berry will mature from a planted seed to a full-grown, fruit-bearing tree in 32 hours, with 8 hours per stage. A Kelpsy tree will yield 1-5 Berries.

Generation VI
Ingredient
A Kelpsy Berry will mature from a planted seed to a full-grown, fruit-bearing tree in 48 hours, with 8 hours per stage. A Kelpsy tree will yield 1-20 Berries. During its growth, watering the plant will add 0.5 Berries to the final harvest, weeding it will add 1.5, and removing a pest will add 3.

In the Generation V games, the Kelpsy Berry can be sold to the gourmet maniac on Route 5 for $20.

Effect

In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, the Kelpsy Berry cannot be used directly and only has a use as an ingredient for Pokéblocks.

From Pokémon Emerald, the Kelpsy Berry can be used from the Bag on a Pokémon to increase the Pokémon's friendship (+10 at friendship 0-99, +5 at friendship 100-199, +1SwSh-/+2E-USUM at friendship 200-254) and lowers its Attack EVs by ten points (but not below 0). In Generation IV only, this Berry reduces the EV to 100 if it was above 110 when used.

Ingredient

Berry Blending
RSE When blending with NPCs, Kelpsy Berries will produce the following Pokéblocks:
