Karena (Japanese: キクヨ Kikuyo) is a one-time character who appeared in Here Comes the Trubbish Squad!.
Karena, alongside her granddaughter Daniela, is the owner of a Day Care close to Nacrene City. When Ash, Iris and Cilan arrived at the Day Care, they found a group of schoolchildren rebelling against their teacher for not allowing them to keep Trubbish. Karena helped the children to keep Trubbish by revealing that Trubbish loses its bad odor once it befriends a person.
In the end, she gave Ash a Pokémon Egg as a reward for all his efforts in helping the children.
