Pokémon

While wild Seviper and Zangoose are game-exclusive Pokémon in single encounters, they can be found within hordes in both X and Y. In the version where they can only be found in a horde, only one is present in that horde and can be targeted by the other members of the horde. This is because both Pokémon are natural enemies.

Route 8 in the anime

Route 8 appeared in An Undersea Place to Call Home!. Ash and his friends relaxed there before Ash had his Gym battle with Grant. While fishing, Ash hooked a Skrelp and attacked him and his friends as it thought that they were its enemies. Pikachu became badly poisoned after getting hit by Skrelp's Toxic. Eddy and Lindsey arrived in Route 8 and Lindsey treated Pikachu, curing him of the poison. A sunken ship which contained some treasure was located underwater of Route 8. Some strong currents were there too but disappeared sometimes. Ash, Serena, and Lindsey went ahead in a submarine underwater.

While on their exploration, they saw some Water-type Pokémon, including the Skrelp from before, and Dragalge. Team Rocket arrived with the Magikarp submarine and attempted to steal the treasure inside the sunken ship. Despite Team Rocket being confronted by the group and the Water-type Pokémon, they were able to grab a safe containing the treasure at the cost of the ship sinking away completely. While the Water-type Pokémon attempted to fix the hole that Team Rocket made on the sunken ship, Froakie and Skrelp went after Team Rocket. When Team Rocket made it to the surface, the currents returned and sent them blasting off. The safe slipped out of the Magikarp submarine's grasp and went back underwater. Froakie returned to Ash while carrying Skrelp on its back.
