Map description This path is best known for its trolley, once used for the coal mine, and the curious Inverse Battle house.

Route 18 (Japanese: １８番道路 Route 18) is a route in eastern Kalos, connecting Anistar City and Couriway Town. The route is also known as Vallée Étroite Way (Japanese: エトロワバレ通り Vallée Étroite Way).

After defeating Inver, if none of the player's Pokémon fainted, he will give the player three of the same item from a selection of several. Otherwise, he will give the player one item from the same set. Inver can be battled once per day.

Once per day, Inver may be battled in an Inverse Battle, where type matchups are reversed so that normally super effective moves are not very effective, and vice versa (with immunities becoming weaknesses). Inver has many preset Pokémon, but only chooses a random three during the battle. After beating the Champion, all his Pokémon increase their levels by 10. The prize money also increases to $3640.
