Route 13 (Japanese: 13番道路 Route 13) is a route in northern Kalos, connecting Coumarine City and Lumiose City, and is the location of the Kalos Power Plant. The route is also known as Lumiose Badlands (Japanese: ミアレの荒野 Miare Badlands).
In the badlands, wild Pokémon will appear in the form of dirt mounds that will chase the player and battle him or her when near, moving only when the player moves. Using Repels will not prevent the mounds from following the player, though they will disappear when the player stands in place long enough. There is often also a strong wind that blows in one direction, which affects movement.
The nearby Power Plant apparently produces a special magnetic field that allows Magneton and Nosepass to evolve when leveled up in Route 13.
