Kaburagi

Kaburagi (Japanese: Kaburagi) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime. His English voice actor is Jimmy Zoppi and his Japanese voice actor is 丸山詠二 Eiji Maruyama. Because his English name was not revealed, this article will refer to him by his Japanese name.

Kaburagi serves as the gym assistant for the Blackthorn Gym. Although his main job is to officiate matches between Clair and her opponents, he also helps her out in non-gym affairs. When he debuted in Beauty is Skin Deep, he and Clair were in charge of performing a purification ritual. However, much to his concern, Clair was concentrating more on her Dratini, which was preparing to evolve, and not on the ritual. Eventually, Kaburagi and Clair were able to perform the ritual without any major problems.

He appears to be very knowledgeable about Blackthorn City and its history.
