Joe (Japanese: ジョー Joe) is a character from Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark, and the grandfather of Kurt.
He is an old watchmaker who has lived in Crown City his entire life, and thus is familiar with both the legend of the city's guardians as well as the disaster from twenty years prior.
During the events of the movie, Joe's grandson Kurt, Ash, his friends and Rioka hide from Grings Kōdai in Joe's house. He explains the events from the city's past and reveals he helped construct the Pokémon Backer World Cup countdown clocks in the city.
