Hyper Cutter (Ability): Difference between revisions

Hyper Cutter (Japanese: かいりきバサミ Superpowerful Claws) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Nine Pokémon can have this Ability.

Effect

In battle

Hyper Cutter prevents the Attack stat from being reduced (except self-inflicted reductions). However, the stat can be changed by Power Swap, Heart Swap, or Power Split.

Outside of battle

In Pokémon Emerald, using Cut will remove all tall grass within a two-square radius of the player's position, as opposed to a one-square radius without this Ability. In Generation IV and onward, Hyper Cutter has no effect outside of battle due to the removal of cutting tall grass.
