Humilau City in the anime

Humilau City was first mentioned by Jervis in Goodbye, Junior Cup - Hello Adventure! as a suggestion for Cameron's eighth gym.

It made its only anime appearance in the latter part of The Road to Humilau!. Marlon brought Ash and Cameron here through his Wailord after the two got lost after separating from Cilan and Iris. At Humilau Gym, Cameron battled the Gym Leader for his eighth Gym Badge in Unova.

Trivia

  • A female Swimmer will say "When I float between the waves like this, I'm like a mermaid. Now that I think of it, there was a tomboyish-mermaid Gym Leader in Kanto." This is a clear reference to Misty.
