Trivia
- Honchkrow's Speed is lower then Template:P2's Speed.
- Honchkrow's Platinum sprite is similar to Sugimori's artwork.
Origin
Honchkrow is based off of a crow with aspects of a Crime boss. The white beard and wide-brimmed hat may also be in reference to old folk tales of women being accused of witchcraft from having facial hair, and stereotypes of witches' clothing. It may also be based upon the beaked plague doctors of the mid 14th century.
Name origin
Its name is a combination of "honcho", a leader or boss, and "crow".
Don is Spanish for lord and is a title for Mafia leaders, while 烏 karasu is Japanese for crow. Donkarasu literally means "Lord of crows".
In other languages
- German: Kramshef - From Krähe (crow) and Chef (boss).
- French: Corboss - From corbeau (crow) and boss.
- Korean: 돈크로우 Donkeurou
- Chinese: 暗鴉王 Ang Ya Wang
