Hex (Japanese: たたりめ Evil Eye) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation V.

Effect

Hex inflicts damage and will have double the power when the target is affected by a major status ailment.

In the anime

The user creates an intimidating purple eye which glares at the opponent. The move's power increases if the opponent is affected by a status affliction.

Pururiru Pururiru's eyes glow purple, and it creates purple mist from its arms, which forms a circle above its head. A purple eye opens up in the mist, and the eye sends waves of purple and blue energy at the opponent.

  • Tentacool and Tentacruel are the only non Ghost-type Pokémon that learn this move by level up.
    • Also, all the Pokémon that learn the move via breeding are not ghost type.
