A held item is an item held by Pokémon on direction from their trainer. This capability was first introduced in Generation II, though the thought of held items may extend as far back as Pokémon Yellow Version, where many Farfetch'd and Kadabra, upon trading to a Generation II game, are revealed to have held items, a Stick and a TwistedSpoon, respectively. Held items range from Berries that can be used in battle to recover to items that can be used to enhance the power of certain moves. Most other items may be held as well, such as Poké Balls and Revives, though the Pokémon will not use them.

The following is a list of items made solely to be held items, grouped by purpose and listed in alphabetical order.

This list is incomplete. You can help by expanding it.
