Heavy Metal (Japanese: ヘヴィメタル Heavy Metal) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. All Pokémon that have this Ability are Steel types. This Ability is exclusively obtained as a Hidden Ability.

Effect

In battle

The user's weight is doubled. This increases the user's base power of Heavy Slam and Heat Crash, increases the damage taken from the opponent's Low Kick and Grass Knot, and also lowers the damage taken from the opponent's Heavy Slam and Heat Crash due to these moves being calculated by the target's weight.

Outside of battle

Heavy Metal has no effect outside of battle.
