Heal Pulse (Japanese: いやしのはどう Healing Wave) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation V.

Effect

Heal Pulse restores up to 50% of the target's current HP. It will fail if the target's HP stat is already full or if it is behind a Substitute. Heal Pulse can hit non-adjacent targets in Triple Battles.

• Heal Pulse, along with other moves with Pulse in their name (Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Water Pulse) and Aura Sphere are the only non-Flying-type moves that can hit a non-adjacent Pokémon. Also, their Japanese names (including Aura Sphere) contain はどう hadō (wave/pulse).
• Along with Present and Pain Split, Heal Pulse is one of three moves that can heal the opponent.
  • However, this is the only one of the three that is guaranteed to heal the opponent.
