Intense sunlight (Japanese: ひざしがつよい Intense sunlight) is a weather condition introduced in battle in Generation II. It was introduced in the overworld in Generation III.
It will last for five turns if created using Sunny Day (eight is the user is holding a Heat Rock), and will remain until the battle ends or it is replaced if a Pokémon with Drought (before Generation VI, where the Ability works the same way as move) is sent out or it is encountered naturally.
Description
- When activated
- "The sunlight got bright!"*
- "The sunlight turned harsh!"*
- After turn is complete*
- "The sunlight is strong."
- After five (eight if Heat Rock is held) turns have passed
- "The sunlight faded."
