Pokémon world locations

The Hall of Origin (Japanese: はじまりのま Hall of Origin) is where the legendary Pokémon Arceus resides.

The Hall of Origin can only be accessed by a player who has the Azure Flute, which can either be acquired through Mystery Gift, likely at a future Nintendo event, or by the use of a cheating device, such as the Action Replay. When the player goes to the Spear Pillar on top of Mt. Coronet, the game will ask if they want to play the Azure Flute. If they choose to, a set of stairs will appear, leading them to Arceus. At level 80, it is the second highest-leveled wild, non-glitch Pokémon in all of the games.

As the Hall of Origin is on top of Spear Pillar and not a separate area like the Flower Paradise and Newmoon Island, Arceus cannot be obtained by the Surf glitch.

Like Spear Pillar, it is technically outside a mountain (on top of it), so the Escape Rope cannot be used to escape.

A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here.

Trivia

  • Like Spear Pillar, it is technically part of Mt. Coronet; Magneton and Nosepass will evolve here if leveled up.
  • The Hall of Origin background music is a remix of the music from the game's title screen.
  • Once Arceus is captured or defeated, the Azure Flute will no longer open the staircase to the Hall of Origin.
