Hajime and Ryūji both brought several items, but none were the treasure their father was looking for. Undubbed character This article is about a character featured in the Pokémon anime who has not yet debuted in the English language dub.
As such, their information may contain romanized Japanese names, rather than dub names.

(Japanese: ハジメ Hajime) is one of the characters of the day who appeared in XY045. He is the older brother of Ryūji.

When they were young, Hajime and Ryūji used to go on adventures, often getting themselves scratched up. They used to get along very well, and eventually both got an Espurr from their father. However, after their Espurr both evolved into Meowstic, they started to quarrel often. Like Ryūji, Hajime then left their home to go on a journey.

One year later, Hajime appeared defending Bonnie from a group of Beedrill after she got lost from Ash and his friends. Afterwards, Ash and his friends, accompanied by Ryūji appeared. Ryūji and his Meowstic drove the Beedrill off. Hajime and Ryūji immediately started to quarrel again after the incident, causing Ash and his friends to wonder what was going on. Ryūji's Espurr

Hajime's Meowstic
Espurr → Meowstic
Meowstic is Hajime's only known Pokémon.

As an Espurr, she was a gift from Hajime and Ryūji's father when Hajime was young. She grew up with Hajime, his brother Ryūji, and Ryūji's Espurr. At some point, both Hajime's and Ryūji's Espurr evolved into Meowstic. After this, the brothers started to quarrel often. She then joined Hajime on his Pokémon journey.

One year later, she appeared nearing the site where Ash and his friends were eating. Clemont's Chespin noticed her and instantly fell in love with her. Afterwards she was used by Hajime to protect Bonnie from a group of Beedrill. She joined her Trainer when he visited his home, and helped him in Ryūji and Hajime's father's treasure hunt to decide the next heir of the family.

She was later used alongside Ryūji's Meowstic to battle an angry Exploud, which was later revealed to belong to Hajime and Ryūji's father. Cooperating very well, the Meowstic managed to defeat the Exploud together. After the battle, Clemont's Chespin came up to her with flowers, wanting to show its love. However, Meowstic preferred Ryūji's Meowstic instead. They had been with each other for a long time and had missed each other when their Trainers parted ways. Ryūji told them they could stay together now.

Meowstic's known moves are Protect, Psychic and Scratch.
