Growth (Japanese: せいちょう Growth) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generation I

Growth increases the user's Special stat by one stage.

Generations II to IV

The effects of Growth are the same as the previous generation; however, it increases user's Special Attack stat instead.

Generation V

Growth now increases Attack by one stage in addition to increasing Special Attack by one stage. In harsh sunlight, Growth raises Attack and Special Attack by two stages each.

Generation VI

Growth's PP is changed from 40 to 20.
