===Origin=== | ===Origin===
The | The Great Ball is a type of Poké Ball in the Pokémon games, which has an improved capture rate over the regular Poké Ball. The fact that this card doesn't require a coin flip to work, whereas the Jungle card did, might be a reference to this fact.

It was later reprinted in both Half Decks of the Sun & Moon Trainer Kit: Lycanroc & Alolan Raichu and again in the Shining Legends expansion, originating from the Japanese subset of the same name. The Sun & Moon print later received four variants within the Sun & Moon Trainer Kit: Alolan Sandslash & Alolan Ninetales, two in each deck. The pairs have numbers in circles (gray for Alolan Sandslash and blue for Alolan Ninetales) in the bottom right of the card, both sets bearing the numbers 21 and 25. In Japan, it was reprinted again in the Sun & Moon Family Pokémon Card Game set.
Sword & Shield Series
Great Ball's first appearance during the Sword & Shield Series was in the Sword & Shield expansion, which originated from each of the Japanese V Starter Sets. This print has new artwork by Toyste Beach. In Japan, it was later reprinted in each of the V Starter Decks, in the Legendary Heartbeat subset, in the Blue Sky Stream expansion, in the Sword & Shield Family Pokémon Card Game set, in the Zacian & Zamazenta vs Eternatus Special Deck Set, in the Start Deck 100 (available in both Non Holofoil and Mirror Holofoil versions), and as a Mirror Holofoil in the Start Deck 100 CoroCoro Comic Version and Charizard VSTAR vs Rayquaza VMAX Special Deck Set. Outside Asia, it was reprinted in the special Champion's Path and Crown Zenith expansions.
Scarlet & Violet Series
Great Ball was reprinted during the Scarlet & Violet Series in the Paldea Evolved expansion, first released in the Japanese Triplet Beat subset with new artwork by Studio Bora Inc. It was reprinted in the Japanese ex Start Decks, the 2023 World Championships Yokohama Deck: Pikachu, and the Pokémon Card Game Battle Academy Deck Kit.

Trivia
Origin
The Great Ball is a type of Poké Ball in the Pokémon games, which has an improved capture rate over the regular Poké Ball. The fact that this card doesn't require a coin flip to work, whereas the Poké Ball card did, might be a reference to this fact.
