Goneff (Japanese: 怪盗ゴローニャ Mysterious Thief Golonya) is a character of the day who appeared in The Wayward Wobbuffet. He is a master thief who robs banks, leaving nothing behind.
When Jessie's Wobbuffet accidentally jumped on his truck, it was holding the key to a Poké Pod containing Ash's Pikachu, after an attempt to steal him by Team Rocket went wrong. Soon after, Goneff took Wobbuffet away and Ash, his friends and Officer Jenny raced to track down Wobbuffet and retrieve the key to free Pikachu. In the process, Goneff was arrested.

Goneff has a Golem which he uses for his schemes. Goneff was also shown to have a Golem shaped balloon.
