Glitch City Laboratories is a Pokémon fansite created by Abwayax in 2005, though it is the latest in a series of sites that span back to 2003. The site focuses primarily on glitches, especially those in the Pokémon series. It is named after Glitch City.

On December 10, 2010, the site was taken down for maintenance. Users were offered a temporary forum until the site was back online. On August 8, 2011, private beta testing of the site was released; users could request access accounts on the temporary forum. The site was reopened to the public on October 24, 2011; however, some pages still redirect to the maintenance notice.

Databases

The site hosts several databases, divided into three main sectors.

The GlitchDex includes all information on an individual glitch Pokémon, including its in-game appearance, how it can be found, and the moves that it can learn, named off as "starting moves" (known by a Pokémon when caught at level 1), "standard moves" (learned by a Pokémon between levels 2 and 100), and "advanced moves" (learned by a Pokémon between level 101 and 255).

The other two major databases feature similar subjects. The AttackDex, rather than chronicling the many moves that can be learned by Pokémon in the games, consists of all glitch moves that have so far been found. Likewise, the ItemDex features all known glitch items and their effects.

Projects

The site's various projects are large updates that are all interconnected, usually sharing a common subject. The first, Project Melchior, was to collect information on every single glitch Pokémon in all games up to Generation III. This project, according to the site, is still unfinished, as there are more than 65,000 glitch Pokémon in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire alone that have not been documented.

Project Balthasar was the second major project undertaken by the site, which set out to finish a second version of the GlitchDex. This led toward a major overhaul of the site and Project Phoenix, which revamped the site into a wiki format. Beginning in July of 2009 as a secret project, the wiki was officially revealed in August of 2009 and replaced the old site entirely in late March of 2010.
