Glalie (Japanese: オニゴーリ Onigohri; German: Firnontor; French: Oniglali) is an Ice-type Pokémon.

Name origin

The English 'Glalie' comes from the English glacier refering to a large iceflow.

The Japanese 'Onigohri' is a combination of the Japanese oni meaning 'devil' referring to this Pokémon's appearance and the Japanese koori meaning 'frost'. It could also be a pun on "onigiri", a rice ball. Another possibility is "demon goalie", if the name is read as "oni-goalie".

It shares physical similarities with a hocky goalie's mask, as well as Japanese rice balls.
