Gilbert (Japanese: Genki) is a Pokémon trainer who competed in the preliminary rounds of the Ever Grande Conference.
In Saved by the Beldum, Gilbert was up against Ash during the prelimary rounds. Using his Hitmonlee, he was determined to defeat Ash's Pikachu. However, Pikachu's speed caused his Pokémon's Hi Jump Kicks to miss and injure its leg. He was able to gain a slight advantage when Hitmonlee used Mega Kick on Pikachu, but the Fighting-type Pokémon ended up losing the battle. With that loss, Gilbert was out of the tournament.
