Trivia
Origin
Genosect may be generally based on the giant insects of the Paleozoic era, although its Steel-type features give it a somewhat robotic appearance. The crest on its head resembles a laser gun or other man-made weapon.
Name origin
Genosect's name may be a combination of the English words genocide or genetic and insect.
