Release information

This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan.

The graffiti in the background of the illustration appears to say "Tokiwa City", the Japanese name of Viridian City.

Destiny Bond is a move in the Pokémon games that Gastly can learn, though it wasn't introduced until Generation II. This card's English Pokédex comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
