Froakie (Japanese: ケロマツ Keromatsu) is a Water-type Pokémon.

It evolves into Gekogashira.

Along with Chespin and Fennekin, Froakie is one of three starter Pokémon of Kalos available at the beginning of Pokémon X and Y.

Along with Chespin, Fennekin, Xerneas, and Yveltal, it was the first Generation VI Pokémon to be revealed to the public, being revealed on January 8, 2013 as part of the Pokémon Direct broadcast.

Biology

Physiology

Froakie are quadruped, frog-like Pokémon. They are covered in pale blue skin with white front paws. They have a single, dark blue stripe going down the center of their head to their nose. Their back is covered in what appears to be a cape of white bubbles, and they have two small bubbles on their nose. Their hind paws have two toes, while their forepaws have three. Their eyes are large with yellow sclera, black irises, and white pupils.

Gender differences

Special abilities

Froakie can jump as high as a three-story building. It has strong bubbles on its chest that protect it from attacks, which it can also launch at opponents to obscure their field of vision.
