Flare Blitz is Charizard's side special, replacing Rock Smash which became its down special move following Charizard becoming an independent fighter. When used, Charizard charges forward, surrounded in flames. Like in the main games, Charizard takes recoil damage when using this move.
In the anime
The user cloaks itself in fire and charges at the foe. | |||
Pokémon | Method | ||
---|---|---|---|
User | First Used In | Notes | |
Infernape's body becomes surrounded by red-orange fire and it shoots at the opponent like a missile, slamming into it with great force. Sometimes as its charging at the opponent, the fire around it turns light blue. When the attack is over, red sparks surround Infernape's body as it takes recoil damage. | |||
Flint's Infernape | Flint Sparks the Fire! | Debut | |
Ash's Infernape | Working on a Right Move! | None | |
Entei charges at the opponent. As it does, it leaves behind a trail of orange fire. The fire then reaches Entei and circles around its body until completely covering Entei's body like a fiery aura. Entei then slams into the opponent with great force. As it runs, it leaves behind a trail of orange fire. | |||
