A Firebreather (Japanese: ひふきやろう Fire-breathing Guy) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation II games. In Generation II they were generally depicted as fat clowns spewing out flames, while HeartGold and SoulSilver redesigned them as fat fire-breathing men wearing clothing designed after Magmar.
They specialize in Template:Type2 Pokémon. They may, however, use Template:Type2 Pokémon that produce smoke, like Koffing and Weezing, as well.

Trivia
- Between Generations II and IV, one Firebreather got a name change from "Dick" to "Richard," likely due to the stigma the name Dick (a diminutive of the name Richard) is a double entendre.
