Experience-affecting item

Experience-affecting items are items that affect the amount of experience that a Pokémon gains in battle. There are two different experience-affecting items.

Items

NOTE: The Exp. All and Exp. Share have the same Japanese name, thus are the same item and are listed as such accordingly.

Exp. Share がくしゅうそうち Learning Equipment   ITEMS pocket					INTRODUCED IN GEN I		Cannot be bought Sell for: $1500
Effect: Shares experience gained from battle between Pokémon that participate in battle and the holder. The holding Pokémon also gains all EVs that would be gained by defeating the opponent. In Generation I, it is a key item called Exp. All and shares experience gained from battle equally between all party members. As such, it cannot be sold. In Generation II, when the Pokémon holding this item receives experience, the amount of Exp. Points gained is shown twice. In following generations, this was changed to show all the experience gained just once. Also, in Generation II, if a Pokémon with the same original Trainer as the player is sent into battle with Exp. Share held, that Pokémon will gain approximately half (due to rounding) of the experience twice, meaning that it doesn't receive 100% of the experience.
