Release information

This card was given to participants of the first Tropical Mega Battle, held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Honolulu, Hawaii between August 24-27, 1999. The original Tropical Mega Battle version was printed on non-glossy card stock. In Japan, it was later reprinted on glossy card stock and available as an insert with Volume 3 of Pokémon Card Trainers magazine, released in October 1999.

Trivia

  • This is one of two cards to have Japanese text with English translations below it, giving the card its more commonly known name, Bilingual Exeggutor. The only other card to feature this is a Lucky Stadium card, released as a participation prize for the Tropical Mega Battle tournament in August 2000.
  • Contrary to popular belief, the card text on the bottom of the card border on both versions reads: "Pokémon Card Official Magazine "Trainers Vol.3" extra card."
  • The sole difference between the two prints is that the Tropical Mega Battle version was printed on non-glossy card stock whereas the Trainers Magazine version was printed on glossy card stock.
  • It is estimated that less than 50 copies of the Tropical Mega Battle version were printed based on the number of participants at the tournament.
  • The Tropical Mega Battle logo is featured in place of an expansion symbol.

Origin

Stomp is a move in the Pokémon games that Exeggutor can learn.
