Eruption (Japanese: ふんか Eruption) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III. It is the polar opposite of Water Spout.

Effect

Eruption does damage, and hits both opponents in double battles. This move's power reduces as the user's HP reduces. The power is calculated by the formula:

Hence, the maximum power, at 100% HP, will be 150.

In the Anime

Camerupt. Camerupt pushes hard and fires lava and rocks at the opponent from its volcanoes on its back.
