Entei is the god of Volcanoes. It is one of the three Legendary Dogs created by Ho-Oh when the Ecruteak Tower burned hundreds of years ago.
In the movie Spell of the Unown, there was an illusionary Entei who appeared to Molly Hale after she made a wish on the Unown. He served as a replacement father for her while her real father, Spencer, was trapped in the Unown world.
The real Entei has only been seen once, however, in the episode Entei at Your Own Risk.
