Electrify (Japanese: そうでん Electrify) is a non-damaging Electric-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature move of Helioptile and Heliolisk.

Effect

If the target has not made the first move, Electrify changes the target's move into Electric type during that turn.

If the move Flying Press is changed by Electrify, it becomes an Electric/Flying type move, but it only counts as Electric when determining STAB.

If the move Freeze-Dry is changed by Electrify, it loses its ability to hit Water type Pokémon super effectively and simply becomes an Electric-type move.

Description

Games Description
If the target is electrified before it uses a move during that turn, the target's move becomes Electric type.
