Egan
Egan (Japanese: ヤケイシ Yakeishi) is a character of the day from the Pokémon anime who appeared in Some Like it Hot. His English voice actress is Amy Birnbaum and his Japanese voice actress is 柳沢三千代 Michiyo Yanagisawa.
Egan is a Template:Type2 trainer, and like Misty, it is the only type he wants to capture. More than anything, he wanted a Magcargo that was blocking the path of Ash and his friends on their path to Blackthorn City. However, the Magcargo was very powerful, and Egan was unable to weaken it to the point of capture.
After a battle with Team Rocket, Egan tried once again to capture the Magcargo. This time, he succeeded and gained a new Fire Pokémon. He said goodbye to Ash and the others as they set off to Blackthorn.
Egan also gained a rivalry with Misty. Both got into several arguments about whether Fire types or Template:Type2s were the best. Eventually, they teamed up and defeated Team Rocket using both of their type-specific skills.
