It is possible that this is Ash Ketchum in the future, considering the facts that he was a Pokemon master and he uses only a Pikachu saying "its time to fight again old buddy" and the the fact that he has the ability to manipulate aura, which might contribute to Rui being able to see the shadow Pokemon as such.
