Trivia
- Delta Species introduced the concept of δ Delta Species. These Pokémon possesed unusual types, always being partially Metal in their fully evolved forms, so may be considered the counterpart to Dark Pokémon in the EX series.
- This set contained only 3 Pokémon-ex, a record low for any set in the EX series.
- This set was the first to use the same kind of foil for both the holographic rares and the parallel holographic set.
- According to the set backstory, the Holon Research Tower is located in the middle of Eidolon Forest, the employees originally assigned the task of researching Mew. However the English release of Eidolon Forest was pushed back to 2006 to coincide with the release ofLucario and the Mystery of Mew later in the year (as was the case with EX Deoxys with the release of Destiny Deoxys), so this information was absent from the English release of Delta Species.
- The special box-topper card for this set is Azumarill.
- The Prerelease Promo for this set is Metang δ.
