Hatch Me If You Can (Japanese: タマゴをまもれ!あらしのなかでうまれたいのち! Protecting the Egg! Working Hard with a Newborn!) is the 258th episode of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in Japan on July 25, 2002 and in the United States on August 9, 2003. The title refers possibly to "Catch me if you can".
Synopsis

Ash receives an egg from Prof. Elm, and as the egg hatches into a Larvitar, Ash must help the shy Pokémon find its parents. Unfortunately, Team Rocket has their eye on this rare Pokémon...

- The title is based on the phrase "catch me if you can," which also happened to be the title of a movie released around the time the episode debuted in English-speaking countries.
- This is the first time where Ash has seven Pokémon in his party at one time (although it should be noted that Ash never officially captures Larvitar).
