Trivia
- The Japanese title of this episode is the same as a previously shown anime short.
- The English title is a reference to the homophonous nature of "corps" and "core", though it is misspelled as "corp". Also, the title is similar to Apple Corps, which is pronounced apple core, which was a company owned by The Beatles.
- This is the first episode of the 3rd millennium in Japan.
- Music from Mewtwo Strikes Back and Pikachu's Vacation is used in the dub.
- This episode is featured on the Volume 4: Electric copy of Pokémon Elements.
- The Pokémon Junior book, "Pichu's Apple Company" follows the plot of this episode.
Errors
- After Charmaine mentions the fruit shortage Pikachu says "Pichu", though "Pichu" could be a combination of "Pi" and "Chu".
