Trivia
Origin
Dusknoir appears to be a ghostly cyclops. A Japanese one-eyed mountain-dwelling creature named the Yamawarawa may have been the inspiration for this Pokémon.
Name origin
Yonoir is a combination of yo (another form of yoru--night) and noir (french word for black).
Dusknoir's name is the same as above with dusk replacing yo.
Its German name, Zwirrfinst, comes from Zwielicht, wirr and Finsternis. Its French name, Noctunoir, comes from nocturne and noir.
