Doctor Ferrara (Japanese: ツララー博士 Dr. Tsuraraa) is a character of the day in The Mighty Accelguard to the Rescue!. He is the leader of Team Vanillite, a criminal gang in Driftveil City, and the main antagonist of the episode.
He first appeared inside the Cold Storage with his two henchmen, planning to befriend all the Vanillite residing in the Unova region with frozen food. He later appeared when Linda was investigating the Cold Storage and kidnapped her as a hostage. In an attempt to run away from the gang, he took on the alter-ego Cryogonal Man (Japanese: フリージ男 Freege Man) with a Cryogonal mask on his face.
Despite all that, he did not succeed in his plan and ended up being arrested for his criminal deeds.
Pokémon
Despite wearing a Cryogonal mask, Doctor Ferrara's only Pokémon was a Vanillish (which he admitted was due to his inability to capture a Cryogonal) which appeared at the climax of the episode. It battled Charles's Accelgor but got knocked out by the opponent's Swift.
Vanillish's known moves are Icy Wind, Icicle Spear and Sheer Cold. | ||

Trivia
- His Japanese name presumably comes from 氷柱, Tsurara, the Japanese word for icicle.
- Freege Man is a play on Cryogonal's Japanese name, Freegeo, as well as the Japanese word for man, otoko. Literally, it is Freege-otoko.
- Freege Man's name could also be a reference to the Batman villain Mr. Freeze.
- The professor's henchmen, with their costume and scream in mind, were most likely based on the foot soldiers of the Shocker organization of the Kamen Rider franchise.
