Arata

(Japanese: アラタ Arata) is a Pokémon Trainer and along with Rina, was a character of the day in BW035. He is voiced by 竹内順子 Junko Takeuchi in Japanese.

He was determined to find out what was causing Audino to disappear from the village after his grandfather's Audino had vanished. He and Rina would often argue about who would discover the missing Audino first and would compete with one another using their Psychic Pokémon. He had a hunch that an evil organization was taking control of the Audino.

Later on, Arata was partnered with Ash to watch after an elderly couple's Audino to which they put a tracking device on. Audino soon started acting strange and they followed it and met up with Officer Jenny, Cilan, Rina, and Iris. Arata managed to slow one of them down with Solosis's Psychic.

Arata and the others soon found all of the missing Audino and that they were being lured by sound waves that Team Rocket had created. He then uses Solosis to battle both Jessie's Woobat and James's Yamask. After the case was solved, Arata was eager to know if Solosis had helped out more than Rina's Gothita to which Officer Jenny informed the both of them that Ash's Roggenrola helped out the most.

Arata's Solosis
Solosis
Solosis was used by Arata to help locate the missing Audino. Upon encountering Ash and friends, Arata commanded it to use Psychic on them as he thought they were suspects. Later it helped up by getting the group over a cliff so that they wouldn't lose sight of Audino. Solosis was then used to battle Team Rocket by using Confuse Ray on Woobat and Night Shade on Yamask.

Solosis's known moves are Psychic, Confuse Ray and Night Shade.
