In the Pokémon world, there are many different dimensions. These include Dialga's Dimension, Palkia's Dimension, Giratina's Reverse World, the regular Pokémon world, and Arceus's Dimension. Every one of these dimensions were created by Arceus. Out of all of them, Arceus's dimension is by far the biggest.

These dimensions are usually far away from each other, but due to shock waves caused by Arceus awakening from its deep slumber, the dimensions of Palkia and Dialga clashed. This resulted in a fight, because both thought that the other was trespassing onto their territory. This fight had a large range, even going as far as Giratina's Dimension and the regular Pokémon world. It, however, had subsided a little time before Arceus woke up.

A device called the Time-Space Axis in Michina Town is able to indicate the condition of every minute change in the time-space continuum, serving to mirror the movements of Palkia's, Dialga's, and Giratina's dimensions and thus monitoring the likelihood of potential cataclysm. Here are some Pokédex references to other dimensions:

  • Haunter: Because of its ability to slip through block walls, it is said to be from another dimension.
  • Porygon-Z: Its programming was modified to enable work in alien dimensions. It did not work as planned.
