Dark Matter (Japanese: ダークマター) are creatures in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon that have moved around the Pokémon World that have the ability to petrify Pokémon by turning them into stone. They also have the ability to mind control a Pokémon. The core of the Dark Matter serves as the final boss in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.

Trivia

• It is similar to Dark Rust and Bittercold in that they are the only creatures in the Pokémon games in that can be fought, but are not Pokémon.
  • Despite this, every non-Pokémon in the Pokémon games (with the exception of the Dark Matter blobs) that has been fought, is a final boss.
• Unlike Bittercold, the main Dark Matter can actually talk in the game before the battle, during the battle and after the battle. Similar to how Dark Rust talks before and during the battle.
