In [[EP042]] the city was the center of a battle between two unoffical Pokémon gyms. The Yas Gym and the Kas Gym both competed to be the gym of Dark City. The Yas Gym mainly used an {{p|Electabuzz}} and the Kas Gym used a {{p|Scyther}}. Dark City is located in between the Safari Zone and Cinnabar Island in the anime, it does not appear in any of the games.
