Damp (Japanese: しめりけ Moisture) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Eighteen Pokémon can have this Ability, all of which except two (from the same evolution line) are of the Water-type.
Effect
In battle
Damp prevents self-destruction and the use of moves such as Selfdestruct and Explosion. If Selfdestruct or Explosion are selected in battle, the attack will fail and the user will not faint. Also, the ability of Aftermath is prevented from doing damage.
