Confuse Ray (Japanese: あやしいひかり Eerie Light) is a non-damaging Ghost-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Confuse Ray causes the target to become confused. Confuse Ray will fail if the target has a substitute. Confuse Ray cannot affect a Pokémon that is already confused, has the Ability Own Tempo or is protected by Safeguard.

If powered up by a Ghostium Z into Z-Confuse Ray, the user's Special Attack stat raises one stage.
