His English voice actor is [[Marc Thompson]] and his Japanese voice actor is 石井康嗣 ''Kōji Ishii''.

In ''[[AG044|The Princess and the Togepi]]'' and ''[[AG045|A Togepi Mirage]]'', he enlists the help from [[Team Rocket]] agents [[Jessie]], [[James]] and {{MTR}} to kidnap {{TP|Misty|Togetic|Togepi}} from [[Misty]]. After he was crowned and after sending the [[King and Queen of the Mirage Kingdom|King and Queen]] to the dungeon, it didn't take long for Hansen to relieve Team Rocket from their duties and send them blasting off. Hansen is an impure-hearted man, and due to this, his ruling of the Mirage Kingdom would destroy the [[Togepi Paradise]]. At that point, he thought he had won, until his plans were interfered with by {{Ash}}, Misty, {{an|May}}, [[Max]], [[Brock]], {{ho|Miranda}} and [[Princess Sara|Sara]], the Mirage Kingdom Princess, and of course Togepi, who had evolved into Togetic. Jessie, James and Meowth, after being betrayed by Hansen, decided to get Hansen back and covertly helped Ash and his friends on their mission to dethrone Hansen. Even with the help from his Pokémon, Hansen ended up losing to the heroes, being dethroned, and put into the dungeon.

Its only known attack is {{m|SolarBeam}}.

He used it to gain the throne of Mirage Kingdom and attempted to use its {{m|Metronome}} to open the gate to Togepi Paradise, but was interrupted by Ash and the others. Several Paradise Togepi then arrived and gave Misty's Togepi power to wake up and [[evolution|evolve]] into {{p|Togetic}}.
