A Coin Case (Japanese: コインケース Coin Case) is a Key Item used in the Game Corners. It is featured in every generation of the game and a player cannot operate a slot machine without one. The coin case can hold up to 9,999 coins in the first three generations and up to 50,000 coins in Generation IV. If the limit is reached, no further winnings will be put in, or coins purchased.
Location and use
Generation I/FireRed and LeafGreen
The Coin Case can be obtained from a man sitting at a table in the café in Celadon City.
Generation II
The Coin Case can be obtained by finding it in the underground in Goldenrod City.
Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald
The Coin Case can be obtained from a woman in a house located in Mauville City. The house is right to the left of the Poké Mart. Harbor Mail must be in the bag because the woman will offer a coin case in exchange for it.
Generation IV
The Coin Case can be obtained from a clown in a house in Veilstone City.
