Should we romanize (or even translate) the Japanese names of moves in the infoboxes similar to how the Pokémon names have been in their infoboxes? -Argy

Sounds good to me, though don't jsut use my opinion, obviously. surskitty 23:45, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

It's already being done, it's just not displayed. - 振霖T 01:32, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Animated Examples

Is the animation honestly needed? Most of them start off with a horrible frame rate due to the size. Aerial Ace is a good example of where the animation is horribly slow when loading. It's not that friendly to people with slower connections. I'd prefer a simple still frame to example every one. Gywall(Talk) 10:47, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I worked hard on those! At least keep the ones already there. tc26 11:00, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Hits without fail?

Can somebody clarify this for me? Let's say, Aerial Ace is chosen by the user. The foe uses fly. Does Aerial Ace hit?--Maii 18:24, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Maii

Read the move descriptions. It states that Aerial Ace will not hit vs Fly, and Fly states that it protects against moves such as Swift after Gen I. [[Derian]] 18:36, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! This has been annoying me quite some time!--Maii 19:09, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Maii

Learned through a prior evolution

I've noticed that on all of the pages that I remember, there is no section on each move's page entitled "learned through a prior evolution". And I think this is an important section, because I know for certain that Gallade can know hypnosis, and the only way it can know it is through a prior evolution. Because gallade is one of the few pokemon that can learn both false swipe and a move that causes sleep. Perfect for catching. Also, Sorry for not linking, I'm new here and I don't quite know how.The Hidden Ninja (talk) 17:47, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

We already have "by a prior evolution" on species pages. For the move pages, the pre-evolutions are already on the page, so it's not strictly necessary to, for example, make a special section on Hypnosis where you can put "Gallade" just so you can explicitly see that, when you can already just find Ralts/Kirlia. Move pages and categorization with TM/TR and Move Tutors

Hello, not sure if this is the right place to post this. I'd like to propose to a general standard for Move pages: to merge "by TM/TR" with "by Move Tutor" category. This is because many Move Tutoring moves from Gens III, IV and V were TMs also previously (in the specific case on Gen III, all the Move Tutors were TMs in Gen II), and since the TM and Move Tutor sections respectively already allow comparison of the learnability throughout generations, it could help to make this comparison. It just seems logical to me. JoeCareer (talk) 18:08, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

If All moves that exist cannot be sellected in battle in Gen 10.

I give up.(I hope is fake) WASPED 302168 (talk) 16:02, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
