Casey's Beedrill (Japanese: ナナコのスピアー Nanako's Spear) was initially caught by Ash in the Bug-Catching Contest in The Bug Stops Here. In capturing it, he won the contest, and, according to the rules, the winner can keep the Pokémon he or she caught. However, Ash gave it to Casey afterwards because of her love for yellow and black-striped Pokémon. It has since become one of her three main Pokémon, along with Meganium and Elekid. It is voiced by Shin'ichirō Miki in both English and Japanese.

It appeared again in Those Darn Electabuzz! where it cheered the Electabuzz team theme song with Casey and her other Pokémon.

  • Beedrill was the second Pokémon that Ash gave away, the first one being his Haunter.
  • Beedrill was Casey's first yellow-and-black striped Pokémon, the second being her Elekid.
